MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 install on macOS as well as on Windows, and the desktop version keeps templates, indicator settings and window arrangements on the machine. That local storage is worth having when a Mac stays on one desk, because the workspace comes back exactly as it was left.
The browser platform is the lighter route on the same Mac. It opens from the Personal Area in Safari, installs nothing and closes with the tab. On a MacBook that moves between home and an office, it avoids the question of whether new software should be added to a machine at all.
Whichever route is used at the desk, the account state does not stay on the Mac. Kenya is at UTC+3, and the North American session opens in the late afternoon, so a session that begins at a desk often ends on a phone somewhere else. Opening the app or the browser platform on the phone shows the same positions, because the account holds them.
Two ways to trade Exness on a Mac
On a Mac there are two options. The Exness Terminal runs in any browser (Safari or Chrome) with nothing to install. MetaTrader 5 also has a build that runs on macOS for advanced charting and automated trading.
